- Prior to 1940 Delabole, Camelford, Tintagel and the surrounding area had very sparse fire cover with the nearest station being 10 miles away at Wadebridge. Delabole’s first fire station made use of existing buildings on the site of Central Garage (next to Church Hall) in the High Street.
